I am very interested in this type of architectural photography because inside these buildings, there are stunning scenes that I can depict and show the depth of the artwork and the architectural style of the place.
But there are two problems with this type of architectural photography. First, the amount of light is low, and you have to increase the ISO. Even in buildings with valuable paintings, you cannot use the flash. The second problem is the need to use a wide-angle lens to record all the components of that environment in that closed space.
Exterior architecture photography
In this case, too, you may need a wide-angle lens, especially if you are photographing a large building on a small street. Sunlight is helpful, but you should be careful with shadows, as they can damage the image quality.
In outdoor architecture photography, the angle is more important, which is determined by the style used in the building.
If you take pictures at night and there is lighting in the place, the result will be great, but you must use a tripod.
What is the purpose of architectural photography?
The purpose of this varies depending on the type of building. If it is a historical building, the purpose is to describe the history in the language of images.
If it is a modern building with unique geometry, the goal will be to show its strange shape. Sometimes the purpose is to engrave details, and sometimes the purpose is to show dimensions, shape, and geometry.
