I love macro photography. I took the macro images you see here with a macro lens or tube extension. My portfolio of fine art floral photography includes close-up shots of bigger flowers taken with a standard lens..
I never used the studio because, in other words, I did not own any studio. I took all the photos in nature, in the garden, and in the florist shop.

Ultra Fine art flower photography
Most people like to run away from reality and take refuge in a fantasy world. We often read stories that did not happen in the real world at all or watch fiction.
Creating an imaginary idea in pictures can often be more interesting than reality.
Flowers are beautiful things that make our world attractive. We plant them in the garden or in pots to make our living environment beautiful and fresh with them. Flower photography attracts many people like me. Having a beautiful poster of plants in the room or on a monitor is uplifting.
The variety of colors and shapes in flowers is a miracle of nature. But when we apply the changes that our mind directs us to that image on the flower, we achieve a fantastic result.
I’m not realistic when I take pictures of flowers. I make them look like art by editing them a lot..
As you can see, sometimes editing pictures is excessive. It is one of my characteristics that I enjoy escaping from reality.
Botanical photography is an exciting subject for fine art photography. Plants are abundant in our living environment with various and endless shapes and colors. Flowers always give us a sense of hope for life and enjoyment. (To watch more galleries visit Photography Ideas)
Problems that make it challenging to do floral photography outdoors
The wind was a nuisance to me most of the time, as it shook the flowers and leaves. The only solution was to use high shutter speeds and continuous shooting.
Rain may not be a problem, and on the contrary, water droplets make the flowers more attractive to take a fine art floral photo.
Floral photography ideas
I took this picture of apricot blossoms early in the morning while the sky is half dark. White flowers against a dark blue sky are an example of fine art floral photography.
I was photographing yellow and red flowers in the garden of a country house. While I was trying to stay still, a butterfly didn’t notice my presence and sat on the flower. It was an excellent opportunity to catch this moment.
I really like the indigo color and the details of the flags of this little chicory flower. I took this photo using an extension tube.
Water drops and floral photography
My mother had just watered the garden and there was a small rose.. Water drops add freshness to the photo of flowers. The photo of flowers with water droplets is more stunning than the one of flowers without them!
Using macro photography in fine art floral photography produces stunning photos
I took this photo from the heart of a small rose bud. The detail of this magnified bud is unique. Macro photography can create fine art that doesn’t require additional editing.
Creating fine art floral photography through background editing techniques
I took the color used in the light and dark area of the background from the color of the stamens.
From the color of the petals, I took the background color in the pictures below.
The white circles in the background match the flower size and are symmetrically placed. The collection of white circles and flowers all together created a work of fine art floral photography.
A withering flower. To make an appealing artwork, I used the flower image as the background and made it darker.
The flower’s vivid cream color stands out against the monotonous background.
In the next picture, you can see how the green lilium and dried leaves create an artistic look.
The warm color of the flower and the cold color of the environment have created a unique piece of art
Using graphic effects and extreme editing can transform an image into an artistic photo.
I converted this white rose image to monotone. The flower’s center emerged from the colored liquid as its surroundings disappeared.
We can create works of art from flowers through imperfect compositions without unusual editing.
